Change Case by Line in Vim

Lowercase the current line with guu or uppercase it with gUU. These are linewise versions of the case operators.

Commands you practise

guu
Lowercase the entire current line instantly with guu, or uppercase it with gUU. It is the fastest way to silence accidental shouting in your comments.
gUU
Uppercase the entire current line instantly. It is the fastest way to shout a header or format configuration keys without manual selection.

Levels

  1. The Whispering Gallery (easy): Shhh! Lowercase the loud shouting lines to keep the gallery quiet.
  2. Case Counter-Culture (medium): Format the config: UPPERCASE the section headers and lowercase the status values.
  3. Emergency Broadcast (hard): Format the broadcast: shouting alarms in UPPERCASE, calm instructions in lowercase.
