Line Anchors in Vim

Use 0 for the true line start, ^ for the first non-blank, and $ for the line end. These anchor your cursor to key positions on the line.

Commands you practise

0
Press 0 to snap your cursor instantly to the absolute start of the line. It ignores indentation to get you to the very first column.
^
Jump to the first non-blank character of a line. It instantly bypasses leading indentation, unlike 0 which takes you to the absolute start.
$
Jump instantly to the very end of the current line. Use $ to skip the manual arrow-keying and land right on the last character.

Levels

  1. Dollar Store (easy): Remove the trailing question marks from the variable declarations.
  2. Out of the Box (medium): Strip the brackets from the items inside the container.
  3. Pythonic Polish (hard): Uncomment the variables and remove the trailing semicolons.

Each level opens a real Neovim session in your browser with a start file and a target file. Edit one into the other in as few keystrokes as you can, then race the vimbot's solution.
