Find on Line in Vim

Find a character on the current line with f{char} forward or F{char} backward. Add a numeric count to target the nth match.

Commands you practise

f{char}
Zap your cursor forward to any character on the current line. It is the fastest way to navigate code without mash-mash-mashing the arrow keys.
F{char}
Jump backward to any character on the current line. Use F{char} to fly backward instantly to your target.

Levels

  1. The X Files (easy): Locate and delete the trailing capital 'X' on each log entry.
  2. Reverse Proxy (medium): Update the port to 9090, then find backward to rename 'proxy' to 'router'.
  3. Pathfinder (hard): Abbreviate 'applications' to 'apps' and change 'local' to 'global' using line searches with counts.

Each level opens a real Neovim session in your browser with a start file and a target file. Edit one into the other in as few keystrokes as you can, then race the vimbot's solution.
