Bracket Text Objects in Vim

Use bracket and brace text objects to target inside or around grouped text. They make structural edits much safer.

Commands you practise

i(
Target everything inside the nearest parentheses. Combine it with delete or change to clean up function arguments instantly from anywhere inside them.
a(
Selects or operates on a parenthesized block, including the parentheses. Pair it with delete (da() to instantly wipe out a function's arguments.
i{

a{
Targets a curly-brace block including the braces. It is the fastest way to sweep away entire CSS rules, JS functions, or JSON objects.

Levels

  1. Empty Nest (easy): Delete all arguments inside the outer log_transaction call.
  2. Config Cleanse (medium): Empty the multiline initialization config and the environment setup.
  3. Nested Cleanse (hard): Empty the nested flags object and clear all arguments from the test runner.

Each level opens a real Neovim session in your browser with a start file and a target file. Edit one into the other in as few keystrokes as you can, then race the vimbot's solution.
