Marks and Return in Vim

Set a mark with m{mark}, then jump back to its line with '{mark} or exact cursor position with `{mark}. Marks make long-distance navigation reversible.

Commands you practise

m{mark}
Set a local mark with m and a letter. Jump back to its exact position later with a backtick, allowing you to quickly edit after a far-away lookup.
'{mark}
Jump to the start of the line set by mark a. Instantly snap back to your starting point after exploring elsewhere.
`{mark}
Jumps directly to the exact line and column of the specified mark. Perfect for instantly returning to a precise edit spot after exploring elsewhere.

Levels

  1. Snapping Back (easy): Jump to the pre-set mark 'a' to paste the license key.
  2. Double Return (medium): Mark your destination first, then gather the two values from above.
  3. Spot On (hard): Mark your exact cursor position, grab the token from the bottom, and snap back directly inside the quotes.

Each level opens a real Neovim session in your browser with a start file and a target file. Edit one into the other in as few keystrokes as you can, then race the vimbot's solution.
