Visual Selection in Vim

Start characterwise Visual mode with v, then grow the selection with motions. This turns motions into editable selections.

Press v to start characterwise visual selection, then use any motion to stretch it. It turns any movement command into a precise text highlight.

Levels

  1. Painless Path (easy): Copy the source directory path to overwrite the old backup path.
  2. Dev to Prod (medium): Overwrite the production configuration block with the development block.
  3. Tag Team Swap (hard): Swap the contents of the label and value spans using visual selection.

Each level opens a real Neovim session in your browser with a start file and a target file. Edit one into the other in as few keystrokes as you can, then race the vimbot's solution.
