Repeat Find in Vim

Repeat your last f, F, t, or T search with ;. Use , to repeat it in the opposite direction.

Commands you practise

;
Repeat your last inline search (f, F, t, or T) in the same direction. Use comma to repeat in reverse.
,
Repeat your last inline search in the opposite direction. Use f to find, ; to go forward, and , to quickly backtrack when you overshoot.

Levels

  1. Semicolon Slicer (easy): Efficiently strip away the long adjectives before each fruit.
  2. Pivot Cleanup (medium): Delete the leading 'x' from every word. Use repeat search to go forward, then pivot to go backward.
  3. Ping Pong Underscores (hard): Replace all underscores with dashes starting from FIVE. Go forward, then sweep backward!

Each level opens a real Neovim session in your browser with a start file and a target file. Edit one into the other in as few keystrokes as you can, then race the vimbot's solution.
